Zinc Primer Painting

• Secondary Services specializes in applying both inorganic (IOZ) ethyl silicate based zinc and organic epoxy based zinc primers.
• All zinc primers are applied using agitated pressure pots to keep the zinc dust in suspension.
• Wet film thickness (WFT) is constantly checked during application to insure proper film build.
• Dry film thickness (DFT) is checked per SSPC PA2 to verify final coating thickness.
• Humidifiers and dew point monitors are available to assist in curing moisture cure IOZ coatings.
• Curing is checked via ASTM solvent rub testing prior to the application of additional coats.
